The Story of Ikon Pass Scholarship with NativesOutdoors

Skiing and snowboarding are a form of connecting to land, connecting to community, and connecting to a sense of self. A connection that everyone deserves to experience.

Connor Ryan, professional skier & Winter Park and Ikon Pass holder, is helping to encourage other Indigenous people to experience the healing journey of getting back to the land and back on snow.

In an effort to make skiing & snowboarding more inclusive, Ikon Pass has teamed up with NativesOutdoors & Winter Park on the Ikon Pass Scholarship to offer recipients in North America an Ikon Pass, a half-day ski or snowboard lesson, and additional gear.

This year, Winter Park Resort is sponsoring the Ikon Pass scholarship in collaboration with Connor, who calls the resort his home mountain, to offer 3 additional scholarships to Indigenous people in Colorado.

Applications close on October 31 (which is also Opening Day for Winter Park Resort), and then the team at Natives Outdoors will spend Native American Heritage Month reviewing and selecting applicants.
